Why Is This Case Important?
This case impacted the lives of many Japanese-Americans and Americans. All around the West Coast, discrimination was happening. People did it out of fear. When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, Americans became aware that since some American citizens were from the Japanese descent, they thought that they could be spies. They restricted them from some places in the city, and also put the in camps, where there was no running water and no cooking facility. They were only able to bring basic personal items.
